So it is Earth Day. There is a saying that “We treat this world like we have a spare in the trunk.” On Earth Day there are events the world over to celebrate the good being done and call attention to more awareness of the environment. Global warming, clean energy, all are things we will be concentrating this Earth Day.
However, in this time of Earth awareness, perhaps we should be aware of all that looking to space does to help the earth. Every action NASA or the ESA or any of the other world-wide organizations have taken in space have resulted in some new technology here on earth. And what is planned in the near future is likely to bring far more results, more discoveries that may enhance our abilities with regard to clean energy and our fight to save Earth.
Just think about what going off into the universe might offer the Earth. Not just the new & wonderful tools we gain but perhaps if we had a presence out there – say on the Moon, maybe also Mars, perhaps space stations, we may find we lessen our negative effects on the Earth.
